Episode 12 - Roseanne
In episode 12 of The Shuffle Curious Podcast, our guest Roseanne Young takes us through her journey as a shuffle dancer. Raised in a family where dance was cherished, Roseanne's parents played a significant role in nurturing her love for movement. They taught her not to take dancing too seriously and to approach it with a light heart, fostering a healthy outlook on dance and expression.
As Roseanne delved deeper into shuffle dancing, she discovered a world of diverse music genres and dance styles that became intertwined with her dance practice.
As she progressed, she had a desire to share her passion so Roseanne started teaching shuffle dance classes. Through her teachings, she has exposed many to shuffling. This has resulted in the formation of a community who comes together to celebrate the art form.
Beyond her offline engagements, Roseanne actively participates in the online shuffle dance community. Engaging with fellow dancers and sharing her experiences, she continues to learn and grow through the power of digital connection. Her involvement in various shuffle dance groups through her health coaching endeavors and engaging with other’s online has been very rewarding.

Bio:
Roseanne Young has been shuffling since the end of 2020. She is married and has 4 boys. She’s a Dental Hygienist, Health Coach, and Myofunctional Therapist. She’s lived in the Denver area for 7 years. She was born and raised in Provo Utah. Her favorite hobbies are hiking, runs and walks, wakesurfing, traveling, spending time with her boys and date nights with her husband.
She loves teaching others to shuffle dance through tutorials on Instagram, in person classes, virtual online classes, or YouTube. Creating, teaching, and performing her choreography is a passion. Helping others gain confidence through this style of dance brings her so much joy, and she volunteers a lot of her time to do so. She loves learning new dance moves and especially loves taking shuffle classes from others. She has loved connecting with the shuffle community and enjoys making new friends through this style of dance!
