Welcome to Episode 5 of The Shuffle Curious Podcast, with guest JT Thirakoun, a prominent member of the shuffle community who has made a name for himself as a DJ and flow artist.
In this episode, JT shares his journey into the shuffle community, which began with his deep love for music. He learned to shuffle from a Dirty Bird event and has made amazing friendships inside and outside the community along the way. JT's passion for shuffling grew, and he found himself with a desire to give back. He helped to bolster local shuffle communities like the Honolulu Shufflers.
JT is also a talented flow artist who surrounds himself with his festival fam that shares his love for flowing and mixing music. He takes the craft seriously and talks about his experiences and the homies that inspired him. Regarding his DJ career, JT describes his philosophy on mixing and producing music, staying true to oneself as an artist, and being curious about the music you listen to and why you listen to it.

Bio
JT Thirakoun is a dancer/shuffler, musician, DJ/producer from Raleigh, NC, who now spends most of his time in Denver, CO. Passionate about music, dance, fitness, and wellness practices such as breath-work, meditation, and cold/heat exposure, with an emphasis on cold plunging. He has formed communities in his own unique way in each practice and has helped lead others down a path of growth and wellness to benefit their own lives.
