Description

It’s time for part two with business consultant Kathy Wulf Tays. Make sure you listen to last week’s episode so you’re ready to hop back into this sticky topic of gossip. While often formed from our own anxiety and fear, gossip causes damage to all parties.

So, what can you as a leader do to reduce gossip in your workplace or rebuild the damage it has caused? The first step involves actively pursuing accountability. A critical shift happens when a leader becomes an empowering coach instead of a rescuer of someone sharing gossip.

Information transparency is the second step to reduce the risk of gossip-fueled conversations. Sharing what you can with those on your team will help prevent them from creating gossip and rumors about things they don’t have the needed information about.

We hope after listening, you’ll be ready to start making steps to reduce gossip and rebuild trust.
