Description

We’re back this week with Josh Hoaby. Josh is a young leader and executive director of creative arts at a church who helps his team of more than 70 individuals become their best selves. His leadership wisdom is valuable no matter where you are leading. You don’t need to be leading in a church to learn a lot from this episode.

As a leader, Josh strives for his team to feel seen, heard, and appreciated. That takes a lot of one-on-one time for a leader, and it may feel daunting if you’re already feeling time-poor. But relationships are key to success so never diminish the power of those relationships and the importance of nurturing them.  A relationship culture built from the top down will help everything else move forward because it builds trust quickly.

Let us know, what steps are you taking to practice your relationship-building?

At the Grounding and Growing Leadership podcast, we believe that everyone is a leader and that leadership starts with you. Join Tara Gronhovd, Gallup Certified Clifton Strengths Coach and e2Grow High Performing Team Coach, and Pamela Nelson, Certified Leadership Coach, Counselor and Spiritual Director, as we navigate conversations to grow you and your teams on your leadership journeys.

CliftonStrengths (aka Strengthsfinder) is an assessment that is based on positive psychology and measures core motivations. It’s an extremely powerful tool for personal and professional development as well as improving team dynamics. You will hear us reference Strengths frequently in our podcasts. If you are interested in learning more and taking the CliftonStrengths assessment for you or your team, please reach out to tara@aligntransform.com.
