Description

We’re thrilled that today’s episode is a listener-requested topic – what is the difference between perfectionism and pursuing excellence? To help us through this conversation, we have an incredible guest joining us. Sarah Noble, a financial advisor, gifted speaker, and “recovering perfectionist” will talk about the pains and fears that stem from perfectionism.

Sarah has traveled her own journey through perfection and was terrified about what she would find if she didn’t present a perfect image to those around her. Being “perfect” was core to who she was. Recovery took a process of rewiring and reframing how she saw her identity.

As a leader, perfection takes a healthy appreciation of excellence and pushes it to an unhealthy fixation on what you believe is the only correct way. You’ll see evidence of this in your leadership when you reach this point. It stifles the growth of your team and yourself.

This episode just touched on the roots of perfectionism, so listen along and then be ready to join us again next week!
