Leadership Practice: Receiving Feedback was our 12th episode and one of our most popular with listeners!

While the adage “it’s better to give than receive” is true in many areas of life, in one area, we’re thinking you might need to start receiving it to give it better. That area is feedback. As a grounded and growing leader, you need to be able to receive and provide feedback in a healthy way that promotes growth.

The best way to learn how to give constructive feedback is to practice receiving it with grace. But if you’re the leader of a small business, who gives you feedback? You may need to find some loving critics that will help you grow into the leader you want to become.

We also will provide you with some tips on how to proactively seek out feedback. Are you ready for that or are you terrified? Either way, listen to this week’s episode and learn how to practice receiving feedback with grace, and how to give feedback that is welcomed and appreciated.

At the Grounding and Growing Leadership podcast, we believe that everyone is a leader and that leadership starts with you. Join Tara Gronhovd, Gallup Certified Clifton Strengths Coach and e2Grow High Performing Team Coach, and Pamela Nelson, Gallup Certified Strengths Coach, Counselor and Spiritual Director, as we navigate conversations to grow you and your teams on your leadership journeys.

CliftonStrengths (aka Strengthsfinder) is an assessment that is based on positive psychology and measures core motivations. It’s an extremely powerful tool for personal and professional development as well as improving team dynamics. You will hear us reference Strengths frequently in our podcasts.
