This episode is just a quick summary of the episodes that are coming up in the next few weeks because I had some big events take place.
On September 6th, I made a presentation to the Parks and Rec board in the City that I live in to pilot a program for sensory friendly swim times. I had spent the past few months preparing for it and gathering support from business leaders, advocacy groups and Government officials.
You will get to hear the speech I made plus another episode about some details I couldn’t put in.
On September 8th, our Advocacy group, the ADHD Advocacy Society of BC also made a presentation to a cross ministry panel involving 5 different ministries. We did this in partnership with CADDRA and CADDAC and it was a moving and emotional experience. I recorded my speech so you could hear it plus an extra episode outlining some things that put the speech into more context.
If you want some insight how ADHD can affect your work life, give this one a listen.
I also had an opportunity to be on the radio and talk about the swim presentation plus about exclusion in schools. The links will be in that episode.
Finally, I have a conversation with Karyn Ross, who is our friend, mentor, the one who started the Love and Kindness Project Foundation, we talk about all things kindness, business and process improvement.
