Description

"Khabbal" (Grass) is Kulwant Singh Virk's iconic short story culled out from his experiences as a liaison officer in charge of refugee-rehabilitation post-partition. Based on a true interaction with a woman kidnapped during the mayhem of 1947 migrations, the story is a reflection of the resilience of those suffering a displacement that was none of their own making.
