EPISODE DESCRIPTION:
Land Grant Universities were established in the late 19th
century to make higher education and research more accessible to the average
person. This episode of the FACS of Life explores what Cooperative Extension is
and what resources Extension offers to the communities it serves. More specifically
Dr. Anisa Zvonkovic and Dr. Allisen Penn, along with host Amanda Harner, guide
listeners on a journey to understand what residents of the state of Georgia can
expect from the University of Georgia Extension and the area of Family and
Consumer Sciences Agents serving their local communities across Georgia.
