Evan Brown is a 3rd generation co-owner of Ben Brown Insurance and is presently serving as Vice President and serves clients as a commercial lines agent. In this conversation Evan is joined by his colleague Jonathan Hussar who joined Ben Brown Insurance in 2018 to be an advisor in the company's Private Client Division, helping high net worth customers with personal lines such as homeowners and auto insurance. In this conversation, we speak about the current status of the insurance market in Florida and the nuances of insuring luxury waterfront properties. Evan and Jonathan share tips on finding a balance between good value and coverage in their respective commercial and personal lines areas of expertise. Evan joined the Ben Brown Agency in 2005, after graduating from Florida State University, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Risk Management and Insurance. To further advance his knowledge of the industry, he achieved two elite designations – Associate in Insurance Production (AIP) and Construction Risk Insurance Specialist (CRIS). Evan is a family man and he loves spending time with his wife and 2 children. They enjoy boating, taking their daughter and son to the park, playing tennis, being outside and active, and just soaking up the Florida sunshine.
Jonathan Hussar has specialized in high net worth personal insurance since 2011 where clients often have more complex insurance portfolios and exposures. Jonathan earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and Entrepreneurship from Florida State University in 2004 and he is a lifelong resident of Florida who stays involved in his community. He has been a mentor and volunteer with the Big Brother Big Sister program since 2011, and also volunteers with Habitat For Humanity. He and his wife Jill, have one daughter, Savannah, and a son, Caden.
