David Sharkey is the director of Team Architecture Ltd, a communication consultancy in sport and business. Specialising in the use of themes and stories, Team Architecture Ltd has accrued a range of high profile clients across professional sport in Rugby, Soccer, Olympic Sport, GAA & Aussie Rules over the past few years.
David is a former English and History teacher who spent 16 years working across Australia, Ireland and the UK. He returned to Clongowes, spending two years there as a Prefect in the Third Line and teaching Leaving Certificate English from 2012-2014.
Hailing from Mullingar, David followed his older brother Ronan (OC 2001) to Clongowes and their family have many associations with the college through his grandfather, Denis Lawler (OC 1938), his granduncles, Fr Ray Lawler SJ (OC 1939) Willy Lawler (OC1941), his cousin Garvin Lawler (OC 2008) and uncle, Liam Lawler (OC1967), all having attended the school. David left Clongowes in 2003.
