Description

Max McFarland is a Scottish rugby union player with a unique background. A 2021 Olympian, he competed in the Tokyo Games for Team GB and represented Scotland at the Gold Coast 2018 commonwealth games.

After graduating from Trinity College Dublin with degrees in Business and Russian, he began his professional career in the traditional 15-a-side format representing Leinster, Munster, and Glasgow. Max then transitioned to the fast-paced world of rugby sevens where he twice earned Scotland's Player of the Year award and scored over 120 tries Internationally.

Currently, Max sets his sights on defending his spot on the Team GB roster for the upcoming 2024 Paris Olympics. Max also balances his athletic career with a renewable energy consultancy role with Planenergy Developments. Max left Clongowes in 2012.
