Description

Níall Beddy is a Rhino Conservationist developing rhino protection programs in South Africa. He assists reserves in the endless war on poaching by training wildlife monitoring units that track and collect data on the species daily. The aim of these programs is to encourage reserves to grow populations and diversify rhino genetics as populations continue to collapse around the world. He also develops tracking networks that can remotely monitor wildlife through the Earth Ranger program offering further protection solutions to reserves. His involvement with rhino now covers multiple reserves that protect 10% of South Africa’s rhino populations.
His latest project is based in Ireland working with the K9 Wildlife Project, a young NPO based in Co Cork that trains tracking dogs capable of following and finding poachers. Níall partners the dogs with the places most in need of help adding an extra layer of security around the rhino and the people that protect them.
Níall works with Global 2by2 to raise funds for this valuable conservation work and is always in need of assistance in protecting nature for future generations.
