▪2017 - Led a team in restructuring and refocusing the board, consolidating mine contractors from five down to one, reducing maintenance downtime via improved transparency and an action centred response process and optimising plant throughput via trigger point interventions in medium sized platinum producer Rustenburg South Africa.
▪2016 - Led a team in improving underground extraction rates - increasing longhole production metres by 35% and waste development metres by 52% in underground gold mining operation in western Tanzania.
▪2014 - 2015 - Led a team in optimising gold plant operations (ex maintenance). 25% improvement in plant gold output derived from an 18% improvement in tonnage throughput and a 5.3% improvement in gold recoveries. There was a 56% reduction in operational downtime, a 15% reduction in no feed downtime and 5.3% reduction in cost/Oz. Open cut gold operation in Western Tanzania.
▪2012 – 2013 Led a team in optimising open pit production (ex maintenance) which yielded a 20% increase in ore BCM’s mined from a 33% increase in excavator productivity. Open cut gold operation in Western Tanzania.
▪2011 -2012 led a team to successfully convert a contract mining operation into an owner operated mining operation. Gold open pit western Ghana.
▪2009 – 2010. Led a team to optimise inventory control for large gold mining operation in central Papua New Guinea Highlands. $60 million in one off savings.
▪2007 – 2008. Led a client team to optimise intra mine logistics and plant throughput at large open cut coal operation. Agreed benefits of $22 mil.
