Jonah had gone to Nineveh to deliver the message that the city is to destroyed in forty days. The people, from the greatest to the least, had responded and turned away from evil. God had relented and the city was not destroyed. Jonah is burning with anger against God for not destroying Israel's enemy. The prophet is confronted with God's character and grace. He has an important lesson to learn!
