Hey Podskags!
We're not above trying to be popular okay? We are happy to get down in the Pandoran dirt and release a Borderlands podcast to coincide with a tent pole summer blockbuster movie. What we're not too happy to see is that the movie looks like it is going to flop harder than a Claptrap unit being (rightfully) booted off a cliff... Maybe everyone is just Bored-erlands right now?
Let's forget about all of that and get back to where it all began...
Borderlands is a 2009 action role-playing first-person shooter video game developed by Gearbox Software. The thought of playing through an RPG-FPS on the PS3 from 2009 causes Fazz to basically have a mental meltdown at the start of the pod citing a bunch of mid-late 90s cultural references. See if you can spot them.
Rich brings some semblance of order to proceedings with a nostalgic review of Borderlands 2 for the PS Vita from 2014. Can the Vita heroically handle the hectic Borderlands 2 port? Or is it in the running to win a 'most ugly' competition with Handsome Jack?
Lastly, Fazz asks Rich a bunch of questions about the Borderlands series as a whole. Rich answers said questions. Now Fazz never has to play Borderlands again and you never have to listen to him try to awkwardly compare the Borderlands 3 villains to a night out in the local social club. It's a win-win.
Enjoy the pod.
