Eduard Grau is a Hollywood Cinematographer who is best known for working with Tom Ford, Collin Firth and Julianne Moore on Tom Fords debut feature ‘A Single Man’. He’s always worked with Joel Edgerton, Jason Bateman and Rebecca Hall in the feature film ‘The Gift’. He was the director of photography for the critically acclaimed film ‘Suffragette’ which stars Meryl Streep and Carrie Mulligan. He’s also just worked with actor turned director Rebecca Hall on her new Feature film ‘Passing’ which stars Tessa Thompson. It’s safe to say he’s worked with some big stars over the years. For someone of his status to remain so humble is truly amazing and inspiring. Edu talked about the way he wants to navigate the industry as an artist and as someone who stays true to himself. He only wants to do movies that he feels can impact the world in a positive way. He also gives some amazing advice for aspiring filmmakers and cinematographers and just all round creatives out there. He says the most important thing for any Cinematographer is to be able to read. And choose good story’s and scripts to attach their name too. His work truly reflects his artistry as all his shots and scenes are quite beautiful and artworks in themselves.
