Charley has transitioned into retirement from his practice at Abound Counseling after more than 40 years of helping children and families connect, heal, and move forward.
Charley Joyce, LICSW, began his career as a VISTA volunteer and has worked as the clinical director of a psychiatric facility, as an outpatient therapist, supervisor of outpatient therapists, as a foster care caseworker, clinical director of foster care services and as the owner of his private practice. He has written several online courses through FosterParentCollege. com and has taught college courses on an undergraduate and graduate level. He has presented numerous trainings on a variety of child welfare topics. He has published as a co-author and as a contributing author. Charley resides in Fargo, ND and is a husband, father, grandfather and volunteer Big Brother.
