We are one day from 2021! What a dramatic year it has been. So much has happened it is even hard to remember it all but at the same time it has zoomed by in an instant. Is there room for optimism in 2021 or in reality is it just another day. Are we just going to be plagued by the same problems of 2020? Regardless of reality, for a lot of people it signifies something of a mental reset when the 1st of January comes about each year and often, we find wonderous things can sprout from the right mindset.  An example of fascinating and innovative things that sound like they are out of the future are the companies investing in driverless cars. Would you feel safe in one? If things went wrong who would be to blame? Innovation and evolution are inevitable but how do humans decide which things they are for and which things they are against? Certain concepts and ideas come in like a wave and leave no room for decisions, certain things like bitcoin announce their arrival and firmly plant their feet regardless of the naysayers. As things move more digitally the old way of doing thing start to face competition or become redundant and with diamonds now being created out of thin air it might spell the end of diamond mining as we know it. That is mere speculation however and it is funny, but speculation, exaggeration and omission have a funny way of making their way into stories. People often take the bits they are interested in and intentionally or unintentionally manipulate the story in the way they think will grab people’s attention.
