I'm your host, Bianca Lynn, and welcome to What's Mine Is Mine, a podcast where I talk to my friends and peers about our experiences as black and brown professionals. I want this podcast to be the home of resources, inspiration, and encouragement for minorities across any industry. I've been working in the media industry for a little over 10 years, and looking back while I had some helpful allies, I went through a lot of tough learnings because I didn't have the guidance from someone who looked like me.
Being a person of color is a beautiful, yet scary thing. We are often ignored, mistreated, discriminated against, and judged harshly. Being a Jersey girl, I didn't really take some of those things lightly and had learned the hard way. All of my lessons and lessons have brought me here, and this is my community service to you listening.
There will be unique experiences that we have just because of how we were born. And if you ever need someone to talk to or to guide you, you're at the right place. Thank you for listening and connecting with me. Feel free to reach out to me if you'd like to chat one-on-one, and I hope you really enjoy my friend's stories.
