Episode 6 covers Melissa Marquez’s STEM journey from her childhood in which she began to play with crabs on the beach to her unique science journey that led her to love Sharks. Melissa shares stories of overcoming bullies in school and how she used her resources to begin her quest to become a marine biologist. One of the most exciting parts of this episode is when Melissa shares the incredible story of how she was bit by a crocodile while studying sharks in the Caribbean and how she survived this attack.
