Listen

Description

CAUTION: In this episode, we talk about domestic abuse and there is cursing, so if you are not in a space to listen, then please take care of yourself.

This week my guest is Sam Butler. Sam is an extraordinary human, with an infectious laugh, 4 beautiful children, and a successful career in the rail industry. She is also a domestic abuse survivor.

In this episode, Sam shares her heartbreaking journey of abuse in an honest, inspiring, and hopeful way. We dive into the psychology of an abuser, the reality of living life as a hostage of an abuser and the light and love that sits on the other side of this darkness.

Through her vulnerability, I shared my experience of also being a domestic abuse survivor. For the first time, I felt seen and understood and was able to laugh about some things despite the scars they have left.
