Santelmo is a Filipino folktale about two fireballs fighting each other. They arise in areas where there have been accidents or where there have been major disagreements over land boundaries. Santelmo is the shortened Tagalog phrase "apoy ni San Elmo" or "St. Elmo's Fire".
