Professor Foster was educated at Yale (BA in Ethics, Politics, and Economics) and Maryland University (PhD in Economics). Professor Foster is a regular panellist on the ABC and the host of her own excellent podcast The Economists with Peter Martin on ABC Radio National. https://www.abc.net.au/radionational/programs/the-economists
Professor Foster was named Young Economist of the Year in 2019 by the Economic Society of Australia and caused a meltdown in the media following her appearance on Q & A in July 2020 when she criticised the brutal COVID-Zero Approach taken in Australia in an effort to curb the spread of the virus.
