There is always a first. The first president. The first African American baseball player and the 1st nurse. In honor of nurse's week I talk about Florence Nightingale and my smokin' hot nurse wife. Florence Nightingale left her life of luxury and privilege to go and help to alleviate needless suffering in the Crimean war in 1853. We can learn from the bravery of this woman and hopefully become inspired by the courage it took for this woman to pursue her calling despite it not being "a woman's place." Florence Nightingale had to fight against the status quo and as a result of her bravery she started the nursing industry and has saved countless lives.
