Today I am chatting with Dr Bill Janeway, who is a true expert in the field of economics and an active growth equity investor. In this regard, he views himself as a “theorist practitioner”.
On the theoretical side, he is heavily involved with Economics at Cambridge University, a member of the board of directors of the Social Science Research Council and the Fields Institute for Research in the Mathematical Sciences, and of the Advisory Board of the Princeton Bendheim Center for Finance.
On the practical side, he has been an active growth equity investor for more than 40 years, and is currentlyasenior advisor and managing director of Warburg Pincus, where he has been responsible forbuilding the information technology investment practice, as well as a director of Magnet Systems and O'Reilly Media.
