- Openminded, sensitive to others’ feelings and experiences, and wary of asserting any one view as right or wrong
Safety and security is important to them
- They want to be and they want to create “safe spaces” for individuals.

2 in 5 Gen Z’ers interact with people that are different than them, compared to just a quarter of Boomers.

Safety and Security

They want to be and belong to safe spaces that accept others and themselves.
Real safety is a myth.
- They may not remember 9/11, but were born into war and global disruption.

Family life

Only 1/3 of Gen Z believes their family plays a role in their identity formation.
Gen Z sees their parents as double-minded. They see their parents as either “helicopter parents” or completely hands-off.
