Core Passage: Romans 15:13 (ESV) - “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.”
HOPE - Be Hopeful
Be unapologetically in love with Jesus Christ and His message of redemption for a lost and dying world.
Be faithfully abounded to the Word of God and its governance of our lives in unity with the empowerment of the Holy Spirit.
Be encouraged and wholly supportive of one another in family as a unified body of believers assembled together in one vision and of one mind.
Be committed to the raising up of the next generation of Christ followers in order to further the advancement of the Kingdom of God on Earth as it is in Heaven.
Be vigilant and proactive in taking the Gospel to All Nations, beginning with those in our own local community.
1. Be Unapologetically in Love with Jesus Christ and His Message of Redemption
• Scripture: John 14:6 (ESV) - “Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’”
• Key Thought: Our love for Christ should be bold, evident, and transformative, rooted in a deep understanding of His saving work.
2. Be Faithfully Abounded to the Word of God and Empowered by the Holy Spirit
• Scripture: 2 Timothy 3:16-17 (ESV) - “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness.”
• Key Thought: Our lives should be rooted in Scripture and lived out in the Spirit’s power.
3. Be Encouraged and Wholly Supportive of One Another as a Unified Body of Believers
• Scripture: Hebrews 10:24-25 (ESV) - “And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another.”
• Key Thought: Unity and mutual support are essential to a hopeful community.
4. Be Committed to Raising Up the Next Generation of Christ Followers
• Scripture: Proverbs 22:6 (ESV) - “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.”
• Key Thought: Discipling the next generation is a foundational task for the church’s future and the advancement of the Kingdom.
5. Be Vigilant and Proactive in Taking the Gospel to All Nations, Starting Locally
• Scripture: Matthew 28:19-20 (ESV) - “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”
• Key Thought: We are called to share the hope we have with everyone, starting in our local community.
