Five Purposes of The Church
The five purposes of the church, derived from the Great Commandment (Matthew 22:37-40) and the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20):
37 He said to him, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.(Deuteronmy 6:5) 38 This is the greatest and most important command. 39 The second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. (Leviticus 19:18) 40 All the Law and the Prophets depend on these two commands.”
19 Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
1. Evangelism (Go and make disciples)
2. Worship (Love the Lord your God with all your heart)
3. Fellowship (Love your neighbor as yourself)
4. Discipleship (Teaching them to obey everything I have commanded)
5. Ministry (Serve others in love)
Our Purpose:
To glorify God by loving Him fully through worship, building authentic fellowship, and equipping one another through discipleship. We serve others with Christlike love and share the Gospel locally and globally, making disciples of all nations.
