Big Idea: In a world of ever-changing "expectations" and "standards", our God remains the never-changing steadfast reality.
Under the pressures and scrutiny of the world, have you ever just felt like you didn't measure up?
- David, the man after Gods own heart (1 Sam. 13:14, Acts 13:22-23), wasn't ever on his father’s mind/ thought process when the Judge/Prophet (Samuel) comes to his house to select a new king.
Transition: Maybe the problem isn't your "measuring up", it's that you’re using the wrong scales.
- Let's dive into today's text and see if we can help change your point of view/metrics.
