Every follower of Jesus walks through seasons that test the foundation of our faith. Walter Brueggemann calls these orientation, disorientation, and new orientation.
· Orientation: when life makes sense — prayers are answered, faith feels strong.
· Disorientation: when the bottom falls out, and the questions come faster than the answers. — when the storm hits, and heaven feels silent.
· New Orientation: when God pulls you out of the ashes — when you see that the pain had a purpose, and your praise is deeper because of it.
This is not just the rhythm of the Psalms: it’s the rhythm of your life, your story, and the story of redemption itself.
It’s the pattern of the Gospel itself:
Creation → Fall → Redemption.Gethsemane → Golgotha → Glory.
