The word (scripture) points us to the Word (Jesus)!! IT ALL POINTS TO JESUS, IT ALWAYS POINTED TO JESUS!

Exposition - Psalm 119:105-112

A. Verse 105: "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path."

1. Explanation: The metaphor of God's Word as a guiding light in life's journey

2. Teaching Point: God's Word illuminates our path, providing direction and clarity in life's decisions

3. Application: Regularly immerse yourself in Scripture for guidance and wisdom in navigating life's challenges

B. Verse 106: "I have sworn an oath and confirmed it, to keep your righteous rules."

1. Explanation: The psalmist's commitment to obedience and honoring God's commands

2. Teaching Point: Genuine faith in God's Word leads to obedience and righteousness

3. Application: Commit to living a life that honors God's Word through obedience and integrity

C. Verse 107: "I am severely afflicted; give me life, O Lord, according to your word!"

1. Explanation: The psalmist's plea for God's sustaining power in the midst of affliction

2. Teaching Point: God's Word provides strength and sustenance in times of trial and difficulty

3. Application: Lean on God's promises and truth during seasons of hardship, trusting in His faithfulness to sustain you

D. Verse 108: "Accept my freewill offerings of praise, O Lord, and teach me your rules."

E. Verses 109-112: "I hold my life in my hand continually, but I do not forget your law. The wicked have laid a snare for me, but I do not stray from your precepts. Your testimonies are my heritage forever, for they are the joy of my heart. I incline my heart to perform your statutes forever, to the end."
