In this 40th podcast episode, Stock and Hicksy, talk about riding (or not riding) in the 2024 Paris Olympics with professional equestrian, Will Coleman.
Will, who has been riding horses all his life tells us about his parents got him a pony, TJ, who was horrible to ride but ignited a life-long love of riding, a love that eventually took him and his team to Paris for the 2024 Olympics.
"No horse, is exactly the same," Will says but you can build a sympathetic union with the horse. He tells how that can be done.
He also describes how the 2024 Olympics didn't exactly turn out as planned when their horse had an abscess. Will explains how they made the best of the disappointment as the horse returned to competition.
Will and Katie, based in Ocala, FL, offer full training and ship-in lessons to their clients from November - April before moving back to Virginia for the rest of the year. (Available for clinics during non-competition weeks.)
