PK represents the second school of Pgh rap, after Mel Man and Strict Flow, and before Wiz and Mac would put the city squarely on the map as the birthplace of some of the worlds greatest talents in the genre. He is a true emcee, and I have been a fan of his for nearly 20 years going back to shows in the Southside at the Hkan where I used to play his background music on stages that were shared with Boaz, Basick, the 58s and many other heavy hitters from this era.
