In this podcast we chat with Vikki about her recent Learning and Teaching Fellowship awarded for her innovative development of blended practice-based learning placements.

Vikki Barnes-Brown is a lecturer and lead practice placement tutor within the Occupational Therapy Programme at the School pf Health Sciences.

She started her career working for the NHS, as an occupational therapist within adult services before moving to community paediatrics, as an occupational therapist, service manager and clinical lead. Working predominantly with children aged 0-19 years with a range of conditions and providing operational management to the therapy service.

Vikki moved to the University 9 years ago. Practice placements has been a large part of her role and she is currently the national chair of the Practice Placement Tutors Forum for the Royal College of Occupational Therapists.
