Tom Mullen worked for his fathers underground utility company in Brick, NJ from 1991 to 2001 starting as a pipe laborer and working his way up to foreman. In 2001, Tom joined Renaissance Properties Developers in Old Bridge, NJ as Vice President of Site Development. He worked on projects from their planning stage through scheduling, budgeting all trades involving site construction, until and including bond release for both residential and commercial building projects. In 2011, post the real estate market crash in 2008, Tom pivoted and took a position with his employer working at Iplay America in Freehold, NJ. He helped create and manage maintenance and security divisions for Iplay America. In 2012, Tom saw a huge opportunity to back to what he loved and purchased North American Pipeline from his fathers friend Fred Choppy, who was looking to retire and had three employees at the time with $750,000 in gross sales. At the time, his present employer became his investing partner and helped purchase NAP. Since then, NAP has grown to be one of the largest pipe rehabilitation contractors in the tri-state area and now averages gross sales of nearly $15 million per year with over 55 employees. Tom and his wife Eileen, have been blessed with three beautiful daughters Madeline, Gracie and Brooke. Tom is an active committee member and has been recently elected to the board of directors of the Utility & Transportation Contractors Association (UTCA), one of the leading associations in the nation focusing on heavy highway and utility infrastructure issues. Tom and NAP have been featured in industry magazines such as Cleaner highlighting the companies versatility to its customers both private and public.
