The Texas Longhorns entered the tournament as the No. 1 team in the country but the No. 2 team in the tournament, facing a tough road to face off against South Carolina for the third time this season. That road took its toll on the Longhorns and they came up short in the championship game.
Elsewhere, the softball team brought its big bats with them to Ohio and dominated opponents from the plate and from the circle. The baseball team also got things going, with the pitching seeming to find its rhythm in a sweep of the weekend.
