Description

TRIGGER WARNING: This is a thought-provoking episode around addiction and may not be for everyone. Please take care of yourself and skip it if you feel it might not be good for you right now.

Our guest is Jane Elizabeth Aston who is in recovery for drink and drug addiction and is a huge advocate for 12 step recovery programmes. She is an HSP and now coaches people in recovery.

Philippa is the adult child of an alcoholic and it is only in recent years that she has come to terms with the devastating effect of her mother's drinking. It was this inner work that drew Philippa to want to talk to Jane about addiction and the correlation with being an HSP.

This feels like an important conversation to be having, even if it hard to hear for some of us. Whilst we can't quote any studies, both Philippa and Jane feel that whilst not every addict will be an HSP, a higher than average number will be for all the reasons discussed in this episode.

If you have anything you'd like to add to this conversation, please get in touch with Philippa and you can find contact details below.
