This week on the podcast, Philippa is talking to her good friend Jules about grief. We're not all good at talking about the hard things in life, particularly grief, and Philippa and Jules really wanted to talk about this in the hope that you might feel more able to talk about it.
Jules is a therapist in the NHS in the UK and also in private practice. She specialises in children and young people and she also works with adults and she is a supervisor for other therapists.
Grief and loss have played a large part in Jules' life, both personally and professionally, and she graciously shares her wisdom with us in this conversation. Taking time to emerge herself in the grief she felt when her father died, really helped her to move through it. The weight of the grief felt unbearable at times but she feels so much lighter for having worked through it.
Jules' advice - be gentle and kind with yourself, take it one step at a time and share if you can.
