Today’s episode is with Kelsey Cole. Kelsey is blazing a new path that few have embarked on. Initially a skeptic, who thought that cannabis had zero value, she is now one of the few people (<1K) who possess a higher education degree in the space. Graduating this year with a MS in Medical Cannabis Science and Therapeutics from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, she is eager to share what she learned and how the program was set up, bringing people together from all different backgrounds to learn about this incredible plant.
While deep diving into Kelsey’s story we talk about access and the barriers that might need to be overcome for people to try a new medicine. We touch on one of those barriers - cost, and discuss a future where these treatments would be covered like any other. We also talk about the need to strengthen medical programs throughout the country.
