#21 Peter Cardoz

Today’s episode is with Peter Cardoz. Peter has a unique story that resonates with my journey quite a bit. He is an 11-year veteran scientist with experience working in various fields from CRISPR research to drug development. In 2018 he started to utilize his lab skills in another industry that truly spoke to him – cannabis. After starting in manufacturing and learning the space, he decided to create his own brand centered around a major factor in his life– food. Peter’s father, the late Floyd Cardoz, was known to be called the “godfather of modern Indian cuisine.”

Throughout the show, Pete and I discuss a range of topics. We talk about his struggles with weight and IBS and how cannabis has been an effective ally. We get into the weeds of edible production and connect on being transparent about sourcing and cooking with clean ingredients. We talk about overcoming the stigma that medical professionals face when crossing the line into this realm of medicine.
