Today’s episode is with Kyle Connolly. Kyle is an expert in commercial insurance. For the past few years he has built a practice in the cannabis space and quickly become the go to guy for anyone in New England. He is also the founder of UCANNB2B, a networking group that helps connect people in the industry while also providing services for the community like toys for tots.
In the episode we talk about being new dads and the challenges that come along with that added responsibility. We deep dive into insurance and what makes a good agent. We discuss things to look for when selecting a good person to work with and connect on how important relationship building is to ancillary businesses. We talk about the SAFER Banking Act and its potential to further legitimize the industry in terms of more carriers wanting to come aboard. Overall this was a super helpful and educational talk.
**During this episode we discuss Delta-8 & Delta-9 THC as well as HHC (Hexahydrocannabinol). The traditional THC that we think of and that is included in the Controlled Substance Act is Delta-9. Delta-8 became popular after the 2018 Farm Bill and has sense caused controversy over being available in markets where THC is illegal. HHC is also a synthetic compound that is being sold in markets where THC is illegal. At one point on the show I get it mixed up with Delta-8 with Delta-9 and want to provide clarity here. Giddy up!
