Dr. Ruth Van Reken, co-author of Third Culture Kid: Growing Up Among Worlds, is arguably the biggest pioneer in working out the unique place we TCK's belong to in this world. Mike is still pinching himself to make sure this is really happening.
They start off discussing dealing with timezones and the transition to virtual meetups (3:10). The interview starts with with her pegging Mike repeatledly with questions about his life (6:15). He tried to do a short take on it, but stumbled (9:15 :D) when she asked about what he will be doing in the future.
They move on to talk about travel and aging with the paradoxes of living a full life when getting older (10:15). They trade quite a few stories about it all. Mike supplants the conversation with the work she's done over her full life, and she answers it with her vision that she feels she was called to manifest (20:00).
Finally, she talks abouut how David Pollock's model is still intact but is more like a petri dish having added layers of complexity and uses Mike's kids as an example (23:00).
