In this episode of Prison Talk With Jamie Meade & Emma Charleston, we discuss Victim Rights and Sensitivity. Our previous episodes on Mandatory Minimum Sentencing and Second Look Sentencing focused on the offender and criminal justice reform that benefits the offender. We did not discuss nor include the victim. We thought it would only be right to have a complete episode discussing Victim Rights and Sensitivity. Rights vary by state, but sensitivity does not. Offenders need to understand the impact and harm they have caused the victim, their family, their friends, and the community as a whole. We believe that more effort must be taken to develop reconciliation programs to help victims with their grief and anger.
