Description

HOT GIRLS GO TO THERAPY! Hosts Rilee + Chelsea share their many experiences with therapy over the years. It’s not always easy, but they have seen their lives change for the better because of what they invested. Whether you’re in therapy, thinking about therapy, or have sworn it off for good, give this episode a listen!

THERAPY RESOURCES

  1. COLLEGE/UNIVERSITY: If you are a student of a university or college, many schools offer counseling services for free or heavily discounted for their registered students.

  2. HEALTH INSURANCE: Check your health insurance to see if therapy is included in your coverage! If you see a provider out of network, talk with them about superbill options. This will allow you to attend therapy and submit your receipts for reimbursement with your insurance company.

  3. THERAPY CENTER DISCOUNTS: Some therapists offer discounts based on academic level, household income, or situation. Talk with your local therapist to see if there are any options available to you.

  4. U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH & HUMAN SERVICES: Visit https://www.findtreatment.gov/ to find options in your state. If you don’t have insurance, you can find facilities that charge for sessions on a sliding scale based on your income or are funded by state mental health agency funds.

  5. SUPPORT GROUPS: While these are not therapy and do not have the same benefits of regular visits with a licensed therapist, support groups are a great starting point and are almost always free of charge.

  6. LOCAL CHURCHES. If you are a member or regularly attend a church or religious organization, many have individuals or small groups designed to support its members. They may also have a list of local therapists who offer discounts for members or charge on a sliding scale.
