In this episode of The Daryl Perry Podcast, I’m talking about why taking a break from your daily routine is not only helpful but often necessary. I took a step back for a couple days, and it gave me just enough mental space to look at things differently. Even something as simple as reorganizing my kitchen routine made me think about how stepping away can help us come back with a fresh perspective.

I get into why it's okay to pause your structure, how momentum still plays a role, and why giving your mind space to breathe is valuable for mental clarity and creativity. I also explain how I structure my work—especially podcasting, blogging, and social media content—and why some of it is planned in advance while other parts are done in real time. This podcast is one of those things I love doing in the moment, and today’s episode is exactly that.

We also talk about how mental and emotional health ties into our productivity and presence. If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed or mentally exhausted, you're not alone. And no, there’s nothing wrong with you. I encourage therapy as a tool for everyone, not just when things are tough, but as an ongoing way to check in with yourself.
