Episode Description:

In this episode of The Daryl Perry Podcast, I’m talking about what it really means to continue showing up. It’s not just about pushing through workouts or checking off boxes. It’s about showing up for yourself emotionally and mentally, especially during the hard times.

We all face moments where we feel like we’re taking steps backward, where emotions are overwhelming, or when the easiest thing to do is shut it all down. But real growth comes from feeling what you need to feel, sitting in those emotions, and learning how to observe them without judgment.

I share why it’s important to be kind and compassionate toward yourself in those moments when the world feels like it’s chewed you up. I also explain how therapy has helped me build a stronger connection with myself and why I believe it’s such a valuable tool if you have access to it.

My goal with this episode is to remind you that showing up isn’t just about the surface-level stuff. It’s about working through what’s happening underneath, and learning to support yourself the same way you’d support a close friend.

You’re not alone in this. And if you’re still listening by the end, that means you’re already doing the work. Keep showing up for you.
