Job 31:1-12, 33-40; Job 32:1-22. Job completes his defense, essentially saying that while calamity is for the wicked, in fact it doesn't always work out that way. Then Elihu, angry at Job and angry at Job's friends, take up the task of refuting Job. John 9:24-41; John 10:1-21. A simple, uneducated, formally blind man now sees clearly. Then Jesus breaks out what is for us Christians one of our favorite metaphors: Jesus as our Good Shepherd.
