Ezekiel 34:1–24, Israel’s shepherds had failed them, now God himself will take up the task of shepherding his people, Israel! Romans 3:19–31, having shown clearly that righteousness is not a matter of moral worthiness, Paul here shows that righteousness comes through Jesus, through his death and resurrection, to all who put their trust in it. That’s what he means when he says we are saved by faith and not by works.
