Walking is definitely exercise!
To argue that walking is just a natural human movement, so it's not exercise is just dumb. What the hell is different about picking up heavy objects? That's also a natural human movement!
Here's the deal. When you tell people they don't move enough, then tell them walking isn't moving, you are just confusing people. If you walk 10-20 thousand steps a day, you will be fine without going to a gym.
Do I think you shouldn't go to a gym and lift weights? I am definitely not saying that either! If that's what you like to do, go for it!
I love to do all kinds of movement, and I don't give a shit what anyone wants to call it.
I just want people to get off the couch and move around. Interact with other humans and with nature. However that looks for you, it's a win to me. You'll feel better, and it'll boost your health either way!
